After completing my journalism studies at the Bavarian Academy of Television, I pursued a degree in documentary filmdirecting at the University of Television and Film Munich in 2015. My documentary roots are also reflected in my fictional work.
I love to work on stories that stem from reality. This often leads me to experiment with different ways of telling a story, whether this means finding authenticity in fiction or imagination in documentaries. I love to discover poetry and humor within the bounds of realism – and beyond.
I don't really believe in genre boundaries; I believe in telling compelling stories in innovative ways.
Additionally, I direct commercials as one half of the directing duo Franklin, alongside Annika Franke.
